First Bank of Berne donates to the Decatur Fire Department

Decatur, Ind. – First Bank of Berne donated $1,000 to the Decatur Fire Department. Presenting the check is Kyle Raugh, First Bank of Berne Security Officer/BSA Assistant. Receiving the Check is Jeff Sheets, Decatur Fire Department Fire Chief. 

The Decatur Fire Department bravely serves the Decatur community striving to minimize loss of life and property through emergency service delivery, public education, and community service activity. Decatur Fire Department recently assisted First Bank of Berne’s Decatur Branch in facilitating a fire drill and hands-on extinguisher training. This training will equip the employees of the Decatur Branch to quickly and accurately respond to a fire emergency. 

The money donated to The Decatur Fire Department will allow them to purchase new and updated equipment to assist in servicing our community.
