First Bank of Berne recently presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to the Preble Volunteer Fire Fighting Association for their 2018 Motorsports events which includes a truck pull and demolition derby. Both the pull and derby are held each year to raise funds for the volunteer fire department’s purchase of much needed supplies and equipment.
On hand to present the check from First Bank of Berne was Rick Gentis, Chief Ag and Commercial Banking Officer and Melissa Skinner, Berne Branch Manager. Kent Klopfleisch accepted the check on behalf of the fire department.
The tractor pull to be held this year on Friday, August 24th will feature local talent. The second big event for the weekend will be the demolition derby on Saturday, August 25th. Both events are expected to be well attended in support of the Preble Firemen. First Bank of Berne is proud to be a sponsor of this fun family event.
