First Bank of Berne Supports Junior Achievement with Donation for Purse Bingo Fundraiser

March 18, 2025

Decatur, IN – First Bank of Berne is proud to support Junior Achievement (JA) with a recent donation that will help fund the JA Decatur/Monroe Purse Bingo event. The donation will go toward purchasing designer purses, which will be awarded to lucky bingo winners during the fundraiser.

Junior Achievement bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world experiences by equipping students with essential financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and career-readiness skills. Through volunteer-led and educator-led programs, JA empowers young people to develop independence, make informed decisions, and contribute to their communities.

“We are excited to support Junior Achievement and their efforts to prepare students for success,” said Jessica Zuercher. “Events like Purse Bingo help fund important programs that teach financial responsibility and career skills, setting students on a strong path for the future.”

The Purse Bingo event is a key fundraiser for JA, helping to ensure that local students continue to have access to valuable educational opportunities.
